1. St Thomas Hospital Garden

If your brief requires you to get a jaw-dropping shot of the London landmarks, what better place to start than by photographing Big Ben. However, it’s not always easy to get that perfect shot when you’re in a city of millions. Avoid the crowds of tourists along the South Bank, recommends photography blog, KYMA, by heading to the gardens at St Thomas Hospital. The grounds are directly opposite Big Ben and provide a clear view straight across the river to the Houses of Parliament, guaranteeing a perfect shot. Because hospital patients and staff often use the gardens, this outside space tends to be super quiet.

Of course, for professional photoshoots, you’ll need to secure a permit. Contact Email press@gstt.nhs.uk for more information.

Decorated in a palette of deep greys, book-lined walls and offset with luxurious oak furniture, 6ixteen has hosted shoots for some of the industry’s top stars and brands, from Davina McCall to Pippa Middleton and The Body Shop.
