Kate Moss shoots for Mango

A new TV advert for our press file, you say? 

Who’s in it?  Supermodel Kate Moss?  Never heard of her. 

Who’s directing it?  Noted photographer Terry Richardson?  What else has he done?

Who’s it for?  Global fashion brand Mango?  Dimly rings a bell.

Where are they shooting it?  Our location Oriel?  Of course I’m familiar with it!  It’s got those lovely coralesque chandeliers…those gold accents…that purple pillar…the trunks!…the vast array of tiny drawers!…I’d never forget somewhere like that!

A behind-the-scenes video?  Ooh, I hope Oriel’s in it.  Have you seen their prop pufferfish?

A shoot for the famously multi-faceted Swarovski crystals calls for multi-talented locations!

Who would have thought Mapesbury could be both colourful teepee heaven and homely country kitchen tranquility?

Or that Lordship Park could exude both futuristic disco paradise and super-chic oriental boudoir?

The fine folks at Salt magazine! (and us, obviously).  We’re a multi-tasking lot.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at Upper Mall

When you tell people you’re a location booker, the conversation often goes like this:

ME: “I’m a location booker.”

THEM: “Oh, that must be very glamorous!”

ME: “You’d think so, but actually it’s not all stunning supermodels being shot in racy lingerie in one of our grand locations with a come-hither pout and bed-tousled hair by an extremely talented photographer.”

Then a shoot like this one with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley comes along and makes you look a little bit silly.

Keeley Hawes at Petersham Common

For all you Upstairs Downstairs fans, here’s the downstairs at Petersham Common.  Keeley Hawes features.

Petersham Common, as of course we all know, has three particularly fine sets of stairs, with all attendant upstairses and downstairses.  It’s not married to Mr Darcy or best friends with Gene Hunt though, so Keeley wins this round.

Will Young at Line House

Don’t be fooled by Will Young’s latest video, ‘Losing Myself’. 

It may look like a heart-warming tale of a troubled young man and his four imaginary friends, united by their fondness for well-cut suits and fancy choreography, but it’s all a cover.

What it really is is a lovingly detailed tour of Line House and its pretty amazing features.  With Will Young in it.

And the behind-the-scenes video is a Line House love-in too.  “I actually want this house,” beams Will.  “This house is amazing…and it’s the perfect location…I also want to live in this house.” 

You guys, that’s our glowing celebrity quote achieved for the year, and it’s not even the end of March yet!
